Yamaha fitted a 16 litre tank that sits lower and further forward, a one-piece seat in place of the two-piece seat, a 6.3 inch TFT dash and YCC-T ride-by-wire with throttle maps. The frame was reinforced at the luggage-rack mounts and backstay. The 690 cc engine and its power figures carry over.
